Students are prepared to care!

11 November 2009

Adam Smith College students on the Preparing to Care course have raised over £150 for the ‘Help For Heroes’ fund. ‘Help For Heroes’ raises funds to support men and women of the Armed Forces who have been wounded whilst serving their country.

L to R: Kaylee Holgatte, Kayleigh Weldon, Brian Harley, Diane Ritchie (Lecturer), Scott Cunningham and Christina Patterson.

The money was raised when the students organised a ‘parachute drop’ whereby students and staff were invited to aim for the centre of a painted poppy with the closest parachute to the centre winning a prize!

Student Kayleigh Weldon, 16, from Dunfermline said, “I think the poppy event was a great way to raise money for ‘Help For Heroes’. It was great to organise and a fun way to raise money for a good cause.”
