College Chef Goes to Market

Adam Smith College’s celebrity chef, Eadie Manson, will be appearing at the Kirkcaldy Farmers’ Market on Saturday 25th April to demonstrate some of his best known recipes.

Described as ‘Scotland’s answer to Jamie Oliver’, Eadie has appeared as a guest presenter on Great Food Live shown on UK TV. At the Farmers’ Market he will be cooking up a storm and showing the public how to make a mouth watering meal using local produce.
During preparation for the event Eadie said, “The College is delighted to support the Farmers’ Market and we feel that it is important to encourage people to purchase local produce. By taking part in a cooking demonstration visitors will be able to ‘try before they buy’ and sample some freshly cooked meat.
“I will be keeping the recipes simple and of course delicious, so anyone can follow and prepare a wonderful home cooked meal using the best local ingredients.”
A number of local companies are donating their produce for the cooking demonstration, these include, Fletchers of Auchtermucty, Dalachy Beef and Lamb and Arbroath Smokies.
The cooking demonstrations will take place at the Kirkcaldy Farmers’ Market, Town Square, Kirkcaldy on Saturday 25th April between 9am-1pm. Admission is free.
