This course is designed to help those leaving school with an interest in general construction crafts. You will get to grips with a range of subjects which will help you gain insight into a number of trades involved in the Construction industries.

  • Level 1 City & Guilds Carpentry and Joinery Subjects
  • Level 1 City & Guilds Painting Subjects
  • Level 1 City & Guilds Bricklaying Units
  • Health and Safety Online Test
  • Construction Numeracy

Duration and Attendance

One Year Full-time

Entry Requirements

  • Numeracy and Communication at SCQF Access Level 3 or equivalent
  • Relevant industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered

As part of the selection process there will also be a group information session and aptitude test. Applicants who have additional support needs will have alternative arrangements made, if they let us know.

Further Study

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to apply and progress to the NC Construction Foundation.
