General English International

This course is designed to improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English. There are classes available at six levels from beginner to advanced. The course also includes cultural visits and workshops with British students.

Students work towards:

  • National Qualifications in ESOL from the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) at Access 2, Access 3, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 and Higher
  • Cambridge ESOL examinations e.g. CPE

Maximum class size for Exam Classes:

Intermediate 2, Higher and CPE: 18

Lower Levels: 25

What You Study

Spoken and written communication in English at various levels with attention to grammar and vocabulary. Course options include:

  • British culture
  • Pronunciation
  • Conversation
  • Business English
  • Academic English

Duration and Attendance

  • One Year Full-time (18 hours + minimum of 4 hours self-directed study per week)
  • Part-time Day/Evening Classes Also Available
