The Girls Guide to Beauty

This course is an introduction to beauty that covers from top to toe. Get to know your own skin type and learn how to cleanse your skin, make homemade products. Learn how to apply day and evening make-ups and how to make the best of your features. Nail care: Manicures and Pedicures, Body Care, self-tan application. Stress Management and Posture Care.

The course aims to improve the learners' knowledge of skin and body care, application of make-up and body products, make homemade products.

For Health, Safety and Hygiene students will be required to bring in their own skin care products and make-up, as it will show them how to use all their own products.

Duration and Attendance

September - 10 weeks x 2 hours

January - 10 weeks x 2 hours

April - 8 weeks x 2 hours

Entry Requirements

Suitable for those aged 12 to 16 years.

No previous knowledge required.

Children over 5 but under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent or nominated guardian (over 18 years) at all times throughout their time in College. A parental consent form must be signed.

Children over 8 and up to 16 years have classes specifically designed for this age range. Parent/guardian must accompany children to class and collect from class. A parental consent form must be signed.

Where a class is not specifically designed for children the class will also contain adults. Children under 16 years attending these classes must comply as above. A parental consent form must be signed.

Further Study

Learners may repeat this course as often as they wish.
