NC Intermediate 2 Fashion Design and Production

This broad based introductory programme provides a dynamic starting point for a career in fashion. From the outset, you are encouraged to develop your own individual approach to garment design, while working within a team to master the basic principles of pattern and garment production.

Practical Projects

The major part of this programme is practical project-based and will involve students in designing, creating patterns and producing garments from their own ideas, blending innovative techniques with realistic manufacturing processes.

Entry Requirements

One of the following:

  • 4 Standard Grades including English, Art and Design or Craft and Design at Grade 3 or above
  • SVQ Design or 3 relevant units
  • Industrial experience or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis in which case a design portfolio which shows creative ability will be required
