NC Media Production

This introductory course allows students to develop core practical and academic skills, create a portfolio and gain the entry qualifications to move onto higher level courses. It is based on the analysis, design and creation of practical products and projects, in the key areas of Television, Radio and Journalism. In addition to the production of traditional media you will explore the expanding world of interactivity through the use of digital technologies.

Practical Projects

This course provides an opportunity to explore a variety of media in a creative way, including creating and publishing a magazine, making various styles of radio and television programmes and designing and constructing interactive products.

  • 4 Standard Grades, including English, at Grade 3 or above
