Guidance
Guidance is available to you before you start at the College, as well as throughout your course, from Induction to Exit, so that we can help you progress with your plans for the future.
The College has a dedicated Guidance team, staffed by 5 advisers, who are on duty at each of the main campuses and by request at the outreach locations. Students, or prospective students, can make an appointment to see one of the advisers in private about concerns that arise. We can help with:-

Personal Matters
Our skilled team is there to help you if you need advice and support during your course. You can discuss various matters in private, for example:
- financial worries
- housing problems
- health issues
- concerns about your course
If need be we can put you in touch with other agencies who are there to support and help you as the College is a member of the Fife Community Guidance Network.
Financial Concerns
The Guidance staff can help advise you about funds you may be eligible for e.g ILAs, Bursary, SAAS funding, Student Loans, Career Development Loans, Scholarships and also the internal Money Does Matter system to help students who are having financial difficulty linked to being a student e.g with Childcare and rent. Help with managing debt can also be given.
Careers
Careers Scotland staff are available to see students by appointment at the main College campuses. You can make an appointment to see one of their advisers. (IAT - Tel 01592 568500; Priory - Tel 01592 644363, Stenton - Tel 01592 568038, St Brycedale Tel 01592 207778). A careers library is also available at each campus with resources to help people consider job options and a range of educational opportunities.

- develop job-seeking skills
- develop interview techniques
And find out about:
- a range of careers including entry requirements and job availability
- local and national employers

Careers Scotland provides free career planning and information services to the people of Scotland — whatever their age, background or circumstances. The services are available online at www.careers-scotland.org.uk and via Centres across Scotland. As well as individuals, Careers Scotland also works to support employers and the learning and guidance sector.
Educational Choices and Concerns
In addition to the many facilities and services described elsewhere, the College is also committed to preparing students for future careers. Professional staff are available to help students think about career options, research information on careers and companies, find out about employment vacancies and opportunities and sharpen up interview and presentation skills. Our Careers libraries have:
- a range of computer assisted career guidance packages to help you make career choices
- an extensive range of prospectuses from other Colleges which can give details on entry qualifications etc
- a guidance team who are available for individual guidance interviews
- advice on grants, loans and other financial matters
- academic problems or courses
- financial advice and information
UCAS
Students who are considering applying for degree courses at University are given advice and assistance to complete UCAS applications forms, which are available in College.
